A few months ago we were approached by our old client Ian Masters and the company called Yasoma. We were asked to create a very unique and interesting football game for the I phone. Now a few months (without sleep) later Golman is live on the App Store. It has a lite version too so you can even play without paying ;) The lite version has some minor restrictions.

Soon we hope to do the first update, and there is talk of an I pad version too.

Below is a small explanation of the game.

Challenge your real life friends to a thrilling penalty shootout. It's so simple even your granny can play - but can you beat her?
You are the Golman. As a goalkeeper your mission is to save the most goals to ensure victory.
With push messages you receive challenges and results immediately. Turn-based gameplay means you can play in your own time. Send a message with every challenge to taunt, insult and outwit your friends.
Create your own custom Golman. Add stylish facial hair and maybe even an eye patch. Good luck with the random voice selection!

Our own independent store (www.eipixstore.com) is finally online after much trouble. Our casual puzzle game Ziro is soon to be available through Big Fish and thank to Kalypso media through other major portals. Eclosion is still in development and we have no idea on when and by whom it will be released. All that said i want to present a new Eipix game to you. This is exclusive news not available anywhere else. We give you FOF. A game in mid development, that hopefully will not take long to be out there on the market. And which market you may ask? Well, there are rumors that it might go to the free to play :) Anyway the full name of the game is Fear of floating and it’s an interesting and new control scheme, together with some fancy game play, graphics, story and our usual strange music by Xtruist. We hope that FOF will be the first Eipix game to feature full networking so expect some multiplayer mayhem.

A few months ago we began thinking about the new release of Pyroblazer. Although we where engaged in other projects (Ziro, Eclosion, Ferramentum...), we managed to dedicate some extra time to Pyroblazer Gold. We decided to revive our debut game! One year after we published the original Pyroblazer, we are presenting you a brand new "Gold" edition.

Besides a few fixes (there where not too many of them :)), Gold version includes a new Blazer "Chromozord", so the number of vehicles you can race with increased to 21, Ultra Hard AI setting and Single Player Online Leader boards. In the addition to modified game, Gold Edition includes complete soundtrack from the game (in high quality MP3 format) composed by Xtruist, Pyroblazer Art Book (PDF), and Apocalypse of Apeiron mini game.

Although Pyroblazer is our first game, it achieved a notable success and enabled us to continue doing what we love the most - make games for you! :) Therefore, we decided to sell this gold edition at a price of € 10/$ 14.90 (would have gone more down, but legal matters wont permit it).

Pyroblazer Gold, SCI FI texture pack (including a free lite version), music from Ziro & Pyroblazer, and other interesting stuff will be available on Eipix Store from November 8th 2009.

Hi All,

A lot of news these days. We are very busy, not sleeping much, as is completely normal for game developers. Anyway our puzzle game Ziro is going to be released very soon and it is going to be available on our own Store which should be online in the next month or so. Go check out the news to read about all the interesting stuff we will have for you there. I will write more about this as soon as we move forward with this idea. Another great news is that the official Eclosion site is finally online at www.eclosiongame.com. Movies and demos are on the way. We are still negotiating with publishers about the PC version and the possibility of making PSN and XBLA versions, even WiiWare is in consideration. Anyway one thing is for sure, Eclosion will be available on our Eipix Store and it will be a great game. We are already working on add-ons so DLC, expansion packs and sequels are guaranteed. Stay tuned.

On Eclosion we did a major redesign of game play which will hopefully make it a much more interesting and playable game, no dates to be announed yet, but we are getting there. Eclosion, Ziro, Arakhon's worlds

Hi All,
Pyroblazer is in sale since November. It’s going slowly but surely :) We will probably make some add-ons and patches but the question still remains - when. In the mean time we are working on several titles, some our own, some in cooperation with other teams/publishers and some as standard outsourcing. Firstly – Eclosion is our long ago announced futuristic top down shooter. You can see one mother ship from the game below. Second important game is Ziro, an interesting casual logical game which we are making in cooperation with Belgrade publisher Compdesk. Third important thing is the opening of Arakhon’s worlds at www.arakhonsworlds.com. Now you can be a part of our world and our story in the universe that will unite all our current and future games.

My name is Mirko Topalski, I am the CEO of Eipix entertainment who is in charge of bringing the Ziro game to life. Development has recently begun and so far we are mostly working on level editor which will be the heart of Ziro. We have basic functionality and should have advanced blocks like teleports and conveyer belts by the end of this week. We are using Ultra Engine technology, which debuted in our SCI FI racer game Pyroblazer, to bring Ziro visuals to the highest standards. Several publishers are interested, and the negotiations are taking place as I am writing this. This means that we will have the necessary resources to make the game even better. It has really been a long time. And it has been busy, which is one of the main reasons why I haven't written. Don't know if this makes a lot of sense as we have a forum now, but I guess its worthwhile keeping up and seeing if it leads to somewhere and its a good to have one place with the complete summary. Anyway we hope to finish Ultra Tubes (official name now is PyroBlazer) by April 2008. We have two finished mainstream/family PC projects for an English publisher. I promise more info about this soon. We are soon starting a Xbox 360 Live Arcade project and that should be a great experience and great fun, and also the projects look really promising at the planning stage, but as I said more about this soon. We are doing quite a bit of art outsourcing for Nintendo DS and Xbox 360 projects, and are even discussing making a DS title our selves. All in all things are going forward and soon major update to our website will cover all of these...

Eclosion and stuff

Eclosion (which actually means something if you research carefully) is the official name (I hope) for the "Eclipse" project. Here is a wallpaper that will be available on our site after we have the first screen shots and I hope that will be soon. We are working on the mentioned outsourcing project and depending on the outcome of that we will know our future way.
We have some new coders who are working on optimizing Ultra Tubes code which is one of the major issues at the moment, when that is done we will import the new levels which are almost complete for some time and are just waiting for their time to come. I guess now we wait and see what happens...

Long time no see

OK, I admit I am lazy, well not as much lazy as I am really busy at the moment. I have been negotiating some outsourcing work for our dev team, so we might expect some serious work soon. Ultra Tubes is going slow as always. I registered us at the Great Games Experiment (http://www.greatgamesexperiment.com/game/ultratubes), we will see if this brings us any good :) . Anyway we are almost ready to release the forums at www.eipixuniverse.com (still doing some testing), and our "Eclipse" project (renamed to Eclosion of late) is on its way, here is the player ship pic in development.

Weapons

I am bit busy so I don't have enough time to prepare these posts. For some time these will still have to be informative only, but I hope to think of a way to include some useful technical data on the way games are made. Anyway the weapons are finally finished (the graphics part) and I have included a pic of our nuke rocket here. As I mentioned level creation time has been greatly reduced so I expect several new levels soon.

Level editor

Finally after some time the breakthrough we have been waiting for. Ultra Tubes level editor has been upgraded and now it is (almost) ridiculously easy to create levels. It is so easy that even I can create them. I gave it a shot and here are the screen shots from my first Ultra Tubes level. Yes it is a dark level, but I like it :) Expect more levels from me in this cyber punk style, as soon as I master some of the more difficult stuff like using dynamic (physics) objects, transparency, cubic maps, animated textures etc. I hope our lead level designer Nenad doesn't freak out from my constant questions :)

Eclipse preproduction

Still working on Eclipse [working title] preproduction. It is possible that the actual name will be "Eclosion". We are thinking about using OGRE as a graphical engine. Here is an additional shot of the turret model. Still resolving some issues on the light baker for Ultra Tubes, additional unexpected problems are being resolved. At this point its hard to say unexpected as it seems to me the most unexpected thing about game programming is when everything is going as planned. However the level design is going pretty well and the weapon textures are almost finished so I guess that by Monday I can post a shot of our new level.

Eclipse [working title]

Things are going a bit slower than anticipated, but I guess it'll be worth it. Still waiting for the weapon textures, the concept guy did nothing as expected, but there are several others waiting in line so we will check them out too. Today we are starting a production of a smaller top down shooter title "Eclipse"[working title]. Here is a working model of an enemy from the game. We are also thinking about opening the official Ultra Tubes community site with forums in February.

First Blog

Today is the first day of the Eipix game development blog. Here you will be able to find all the information concerning the rise and (lets hope it doesn't come to) fall of our independent game development company. We are currently working on our first game, a racing game called Ultra Tubes. More info is available at www.ultratubes.com.
We are currently working on implementing new weapons (yeah, I forgot to mention its a race and shoot futuristic racer), models are finished but we are still working on the textures. We are also working on the fourth level of game-play called "The lair of ancient giants". Ill post an in development shot soon. Its a "Star Gate" like environment of ancient architecture combined with the remains of super modern technology. We also have an additional guy on probation for concept art, if he does something good I'll upload that too.
I hope to add to this blog on a weekly basis and hope to add a bit of technical data for those who like it. Yes, and I almost forgot more info on the company is available at www.eipix.com.
